Governor Mike Beebe today unveiled a new program in Arkansas, known as the Silver Alert. This program will enable local law enforcement, the Arkansas State Police and the media to alert the public when anyone over the age of 18, especially those suffering from any form of dementia, wanders away from home. This alert system works very much like the state's Morgan Nick Amber Alert program for missing children.
