TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS COME – GREETINGS:
EO 26-14: EXECUTIVE ORDER AMENDING EO 26-13 TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CONTINUING SEVERE WILDFIRES, AS AUTHORIZED BY ARK. CODE ANN. § 12-75-114
WHEREAS: On August 20, 2026, severe wildfires began in Arkansas and continued with such severity that executive action was warranted to alleviate hardship and suffering;
WHEREAS: Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties in Arkansas; and
WHEREAS: The affected political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the State to recover from these losses.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby amend EO 26-13 (dated August 21, 2026) to authorize funding in the amount of $750,000 to be obligated from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund. Such funds will be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs.
