Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces Appointments

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson today announced the following appointments:

Timothy Watson, Newport, as Circuit Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit, Division 2. Appointment begins January 1, 2018. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces the Honorable Philip Smith.

Dana Stone, Murfreesboro, as District Judge of the Pike County District Court. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces the Honorable LeAnne Daniel. 

Lee Watson, Fort Smith, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas. CV-17-240 Larry Walther, Director, Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration v. FLIS Enterprises, Inc. Replaces Chief Justice John Dan Kemp, who has disqualified himself from the case. 

Dr. Curtis Cunningham, Siloam Springs, to the Advisory Council for the Education of Gifted and Talented Children. Appointment expires July 20, 2020. Replaces Dustin Seaton. 

Steve Groves, Garland City, to the Garland Levee District Board of Directors. Appointment expires October 1, 2023. Reappointment. 

James Smith, Maumelle, to the Capitol Zoning District Commission. Appointment expires August 13, 2020. Replaces Michael Hutchinson. 

Beverly Jones, Little Rock, to the Capitol Zoning District Commission. Appointment expires August 13, 2020. Reappointment. 

Freddie Black, Lake Village, to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. Appointment expires January 14, 2023. Replaces Daniel Greenberg.

Jake Arey, Bryant, to the Residential Contractors Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2020. Replaces David Hargrave. 

Dan Gamble, Manila, to the Residential Contractors Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2020. Reappointment.

Michael Hutchins, De Valls Bluff, to the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics. Appointment expires November 9, 2022. Replaces James Blansett. 

Ed Sanders, Hot Springs, to the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics. Appointment expires November 9, 2022. Replaces David Glover. 

Edgar Mersiovsky, Conway, to the Arkansas State Board of Registration for Professional Soil Classifiers. Appointment expires November 1, 2022. Reappointment. 

Tracie Rushing, Cabot, to the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commemoration Committee. Appointment expires December 31, 2020.

Lori Klein, Searcy, to the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commemoration Committee. Appointment expires December 31, 2020.

Ann Clemmer, Benton, to the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commemoration Committee. Appointment expires December 31, 2020. 

David Harris, Huntsville, to the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission. Appointment expires September 1, 2018. Replaces Shirley Montgomery.

Wesley Walls, Little Rock, to the State Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, and Interior Designers. Appointment expires April 26, 2020. Replaces Lowell Wetherbee. 

Judge Roger Hooper, Clinton, as a Special County Judge in the County Court of Conway County, Arkansas. Conway County Court Case: CCR 2017-1. Replaces Conway County Judge Jimmy Hart, who has disqualified himself from the case.

Lucas Childress, De Valls Bluff, as a Justice of the Peace for the Prairie County Quorum Court, District 7. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces Matt Sterling. 

Russell McAllister, Paragould, as a Justice of the Peace for the Greene County Quorum Court, District 7. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces Shawntae Thompson.

Aaron Camp, Paragould, as a Justice of the Peace for the Greene County Quorum Court, District 2. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces Barry Bateman. 

Thomas Voegele, Conway, as a Justice of the Peace for the Faulkner County Quorum Court, District 5. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces Barry Williams. 

Nicholas Nugent, Bull Shoals, as a Justice of the Peace for the Marion County Quorum Court, District 2. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces David Nixon.
