Gov. Hutchinson Issues Statement on Passage of Historic Tax-Reform Bill
LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson today issued the following statement in response to the House and Senate’s passage of the tax-reform bill in Washington:
“I applaud Congress and the President for successfully taking on substantive tax reform for the first time in 31 years. With the bill’s final passage, millions of American families – including our families right here in Arkansas – will be able to keep more of what they work so hard for every day.
“Additionally, from an Arkansas perspective, I’m delighted that the conference report included the historic tax credit that will help our downtown areas, which we pushed for and supported throughout this debate. So, whether you’re at home or own a business on Main Street, it looks like the end result is going to be a boost for Arkansas taxpayers and our state’s economy – and that’s good news for all.”
