Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces Intent to Grant Executive Clemency

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson today announced his intent to grant 13 pardons and 1 restoration of firearm rights only. An additional 46 clemency requests were denied and 0 had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.

The applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.

Governor Hutchinson intends to grant pardons to the following people:

Linda McFadden-Mills (Little Rock): Forgery 2nd Degree (C Felony) (CR-97-63); Violation of the Arkansas Hot Check Law VAHCL (U Misdemeanor) (CR-97-70); AR Hot Check Law (C Felony) (CR-97-402-1).

This notice is issued based on the dates of convictions (1997 – Howard County; 1997 – Sevier County; 1999 – Miller County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further felony convictions. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Andrea M. Adams (Arkadelphia): Theft of Property (B Felony) and Burglary (B Felony) (CR-92-97).

This notice is issued based on the date of convictions (1992 – Clark County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application. 

Alvin V. Ealom (Little Rock): Robbery (Felony) (23080); Burglary & Grand Larceny (Felony) (59594) and Burglary (Felony) (59591) and Burglary & Grand Larceny (Felony) (59592).

This notice is issued based on the dates of convictions (1960 and 1971 – Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Duke W. Evans (Bismarck): Breaking or Entering (D Felony) (CR-91-109) and Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor) (CR-91-110), Breaking or Entering (D Felony) (CR-91-111) and Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor) (CR-91-112); Domestic Battering 3rd Degree (A Misdemeanor) (C-01-1273).

This notice is issued based on the dates of convictions (1991 and 2002 – Clark County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Eldric Kendrick (Little Rock): Battery 3rd Degree (A Misdemeanor) and Possessing Instruments of Crime (A Misdemeanor) (LRCR-95-8121).

This notice is issued based on the date of convictions (1995 – Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Willie N. Knight (Pine Bluff): Possession of a Controlled Substance, Cocaine (C Felony) (CR-95-474-3).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1995 – Jefferson County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Michael L. Porter (Troutman, NC): Theft of Property by Deception (Habitual Offender) (B Felony) (CR-85-2318) and Theft of Property (Habitual Offender) (C Felony) (CR-85-2538); Defrauding Secured Creditors (Habitual Offender) (D Felony) (CR-86-524).

Carson Roddy (Huntsville): Felon in Possession of Firearm (D Felony) (CR-2003-15); Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine (C Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana (A Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (C Felony) (CR 2003-79).

This notice is issued based on the dates of convictions (2003 and 2003 – Madison County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Adrion Worthy (North Little Rock): Criminal Mischief 1st Degree (C Felony) (CR 2001-1368).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2001 – Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.

Sherri Oliver Wilson (Pine Bluff): Criminal Mischief (C Felony) (CR-94-272-2).

Eric D. Parker (Jonesboro): Possession of Drug Paraphernalia w/Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine (B Felony) (CR-05-239).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2005 – Craighead County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. The Sheriff of Craighead County has signed the Recommendation of the Chief Law Enforcement Officer as required by law. There are no law enforcement objections to the application.
