Governor Hutchinson to Host and Chair Governor’s Joint Energy Summit in Washington, D.C. Thursday an
LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson, as Chairman of both the Southern States Energy Board (SSEB) and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC), will chair the first Governor’s Joint Energy Summit in Washington, D.C. The two-day summit will play host to energy leaders from across the country and the world focusing on topics such as energy security and infrastructure planning and developing.
Governor Hutchinson is scheduled to deliver opening remarks at 12:00 pm CT. Those remarks will be live-streamed on his Facebook page.
Governor Asa Hutchinson issued the following statement:
“Energy is a critical part of our state and national economy. In order to sustain our nation’s energy security and remain competitive abroad, it is paramount that our energy sector continues its development and utilization of diverse energy resources.
“As Chairman of the IOGCC and SSEB, I look forward to discussing innovative energy solutions and bringing together the ideas of national and international thought leaders of the industry. Together, we can strengthen our nation’s diverse energy portfolio and seek productive, fair energy regulations in the modern marketplace.”
