Siloam Springs Competes To Be Featured on National Show Promoting Small Business and Win $500,000
Governor Hutchinson Encourages Arkansans to Vote
LITTLE ROCK – Siloam Springs has been selected as one of five finalists that have a chance to be featured on Small Business Revolution – Main Street, Governor Asa Hutchinson announced Friday. In addition to being featured on Season 3 of the show, the winning town will also receive $500,000, which will go toward small business development in the community. The town must secure the most votes in a national online competition to win.
“Siloam Springs is an Arkansas gem,” Governor Hutchinson said. “Its charm and entrepreneurial spirit make it a natural fit for this show. Hard-working small business owners drive Arkansas’s economy. If Siloam Springs wins the competition, this opportunity will only further create an environment where local business can succeed. I encourage Arkansans to support Siloam Springs and its small businesses by casting their votes online.”
“This is a great opportunity for Siloam Springs and for Arkansas to be featured on a national stage,” Rep. Robin Lundstrum said. “A large investment like this into local businesses can help continue the revitalization process that small business owners, the City of Siloam, Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Siloam have worked so hard to invest over the years. We need everyone to vote to help make this a reality.”
In addition to Siloam Springs, the other finalists competing to be featured on the show are Alton, Illinois, Amesbury, Massachusetts, Bastrop, Texas, and Martinez, California. Participants may vote once per day through Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at www.smallbusinessrevolution.org.
