Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces Appointments

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson today announced the following appointments:

Chad Pekron, Bryant, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas. CV-17-168 The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas v. Matthew Andrews. Replaces Justice Courtney Hudson Goodson, who has disqualified herself from the case.

Steve Rucker, Alma, to the Residential Contractors Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2018. Replaces Fred Rausch.

Marliese Kerr, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board. Appointment expires January 26, 2018. Replaces Cheryl Payne-Nesuda.

Dr. Brian Bell, North Little Rock, to the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Task Force. Appointment expires December 31, 2019.

Dr. Carmencita Poe, Little Rock, to the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Task Force. Appointment expires December 31, 2019. 

Lisa Vaden, Little Rock, to the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Task Force. Appointment expires December 31, 2019.

Dr. Sarah Harrington, Little Rock, to the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Task Force. Appointment expires December 31, 2019.

Dr. Angela Norman, El Dorado, to the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Task Force. Appointment expires December 31, 2019.

Suzanne McCarthy, Little Rock, to the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Task Force. Appointment expires December 31, 2019.

Barry Haas, Little Rock, to the Water Provider Legislative Task Force. Appointment expiresJanuary 1, 2019.

Robert Burns, Little Rock, to the Board of Trustees of the State Police Retirement System. Appointment expires July 1, 2024. Replaces John W. Allison. 

Dr. Rodney Harris, Pocahontas, to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation. Appointment expires June 30, 2021. Replaces Dr. Ben Johnson, III.

Kelsey Bardwell, Harrison, to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation. Appointment expires June 30, 2021. Replaces James Sharp, III.

Jammy Turner, Gillett, to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. Appointment expires August 15, 2021. Replaces David Elam. 

Robert Balloun, Dardanelle, to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. Appointment expires August 15, 2021. Reappointment.

Chirie Bazzelle, Benton, to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. Appointment expires December 31, 2019. Replaces Clementine Kelley.

Dr. Suzanne Casey, Searcy, to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. Appointment expires December 1, 2018. Replaces Dr. John Carmack. 

Dr. Michael Kelly, Arkadelphia, to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. Appointment expires December 31, 2019. Replaces Tina Livingston. 

Dr. Ryan Martin, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. Appointment expires December 31, 2019. Replaces Dr. Charmaine Caldwell. 

Patrick Benca, Little Rock, to the Sex Offender Assessment Committee. Appointment expiresJuly 1, 2021. Reappointment. 

Aimee Cloud, Conway, to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Appointment expires June 30, 2020. Replaces Karen Bright. 

Dr. Laura Smith-Olinde, Little Rock, to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Appointment expires June 30, 2019. Reappointment. 

Elizabeth Williams, Fayetteville, to the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Appointment expires June 30, 2020. Reappointment.
