Governor Hutchinson Appoints Judge Finkelstein as Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson announced today the following appointment as Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court: 

Honorable Judge Hugh Finkelstein, Little Rock, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas. CV-18-731 Judith Corinne Stiritz et al. v. Hon. Mark Martin, in His Official Capacity as Secretary of State for the State of Arkansas. Replaces Chief Justice John Dan Kemp, who has disqualified himself from the case. 

AND

Honorable Judge Hugh Finkelstein, Little Rock, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas. CV-18-745 Jim Knight, Individually and on Behalf of Citizens for Local Choice v. Hon. Mark Martin, in His Official Capacity as Secretary of State for the State of Arkansas. Replaces Chief Justice John Dan Kemp, who has disqualified himself from the case.

The Honorable Hugh Finkelstein currently serves as District Judge for Department 1 of the Little Rock District Court, a position he has held since 2017. Judge Finkelstein is a graduate of Washington & Lee University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law.
