Readout of the Governor’s Cabinet Meeting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Following the Governor’s meeting with her Cabinet, Sanders’ spokeswoman Alexa Henning released the following readout:
 
“Yesterday afternoon, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders held a meeting with her Cabinet secretaries at the Capitol. She began by thanking Interim Secretary Shea Lewis for his decades-long service at the Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism and welcoming him to the Cabinet, and by congratulating Secretary Bragg on her selection as one of Arkansas Business’ “40 Under 40.” Three secretaries then presented on their agencies’ work. Secretary Penn discussed the improvements he’s made to veteran services in the Natural State and his work to attract more veterans to Arkansas. Secretary Khoury spoke about his department’s recent federal grant applications and discussed his review of Arkansas’ regulatory environment. Interim Secretary Lewis gave an update on his department’s preparations for next year’s eclipse. The Governor commended the secretaries for their efforts and encouraged them to continue working across department lines to make Arkansas the best state in the nation to live, work, and raise a family.”
