Readout of the Governor’s Call with the President of the United States

BENTONVILLE, Ark.—Following Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ call with President Joe Biden, Sanders’ spokeswoman Alexa Henning released the following readout:

“This morning, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and President Joe Biden spoke by phone and discussed the catastrophic tornadoes and severe weather that affected Arkansans over the weekend. The Governor told the President she’s been on the ground in Northwest Arkansas since yesterday and is surveying the damage firsthand and offering comfort and support to those impacted. The President emphasized if there is anything the state needs to let him know and the federal government stands ready to assist. Governor Sanders thanked the President for the close coordination of his team last March and again this time for their commitment to aiding response and recovery efforts.”
