Sanders Announces Appointments 

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.— Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has announced the following appointments:

Justices of the Peace Appointments:

Coleman Taylor, of Johnson, to serve as the Justice of the Peace for District 1 for Washington County. Term expires on December 31, 2024. Replaces Lance Johnson

Larry Brown, of Cave City, to serve as the Justice of the Peace for District 9 for Sharp County. Term expires on December 31, 2024. Replaces Todd Price. 

Ron Stoval, of Texarkana, to serve as the Justice of the Peace for District 7 for Miller County. Term expires on December 31, 2024. Replaces Jimmy Hickey, Sr. 

Special Justice Appointments:

Mary Carole Young, of Little Rock, to serve as the Special Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, to replace Chief Justice Dan Kemp for the case styled CV-22-670, Damien Echols v. State of Arkansas.

Cody Kees, of Little Rock, to serve as the Special Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, to replace Justice Rhonda K. Wood for the case styled CV-22-599, Rolandis Chatmon v. Dexter Payne, Director, Arkansas Department of Corrections.
