TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS COME – GREETINGS: 

DR 24-02: DECLARING DISASTER AREAS FROM JANUARY 22, 2024 STORMS AND FLOODING 

WHEREAS: On January 22, 2024, severe storms and flooding struck Arkansas and continue to cause dangers, hardships, and suffering throughout the state, which in turn, warrants this executive action; 

WHEREAS: Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties within certain political subdivisions in Arkansas; and 

WHEREAS: These political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the state to recover from their losses. 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby declare Carroll, Clark, Conway, Crawford, Dallas, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Logan, Madison, Nevada, Perry, Sharp, Van Buren, and Yell Counties as disaster areas.
