TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS COME — GREETINGS:

WHEREAS:    On or about June 25, 2023, severe storms and straight-line winds occurred and caused great damage to private property and public facilities in jurisdictions across Arkansas;

WHEREAS:    Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties in Arkansas; and

WHEREAS:    Some political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the State of Arkansas to recover from these losses.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby amend DR 23-08 of July 14th, 2023, and DR 23-09 of July 27th, 2023, to authorize funds in the amount of $1 million (1,000,000) from the Governor’s Response and Recovery Fund under the Individual Assistance Program, to be used for supplemental disaster relief to the following counties: Arkansas, Faulkner, Lonoke, Mississippi, Poinsett, Pope, and Pulaski. Such funds shall be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs.
